01What this site is
Facelift Masters is an independent UK decision guide covering facelift surgery and the non-surgical treatments people weigh against it. It exists to help a reader work out, before they speak to anybody with something to sell, whether the operation addresses their problem at all.
It is published by Northbank Media. It is not a clinic, not a medical service and not a directory. It employs no surgeons, treats no patients and holds no clinical relationship with any reader.
02Why it exists
Facelift surgery is unusually badly served by the information around it. The clinical picture is reasonably settled: the operation repositions a deep layer of tissue, removes surplus skin and does nothing for skin quality. The commercial picture is chaotic, with dozens of branded procedure names describing a small number of underlying operations, downtime claims that have shortened considerably faster than healing has, and price ranges spanning a factor of five for procedures sold under the same word.
The result is that many people arrive at a consultation having researched extensively and knowing very little that will help them. They can name techniques they cannot distinguish and quote recovery times that describe a different operation. This site is an attempt to fix that specific problem.
03What we refuse to do
- We rank and recommend no surgeon, clinic, hospital or device. Not favourably and not otherwise, and we publish no directory. Two articles name an external business once, as an example and never as a recommendation, and each of those pages carries a disclosure saying so. Nothing was paid for or promised in return.
- We publish no invented figures. Where a statistic would need to be fabricated to make a point, we make the point qualitatively or we do not make it.
- We give no medical advice. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation or a substitute for examination by a doctor.
- We do not use before and after photographs. They are almost always uncontrolled, and presenting them would imply a clinical relationship we do not have.
- We take no payment for placement. There is no placement to buy on this site.
04How the site is funded
Facelift Masters is funded by its publisher and, where a reader specifically asks to be put in touch with a practitioner, by referral arrangements with registered UK providers. That is stated plainly on the enquiry page because a reader is entitled to know it before submitting anything.
Two constraints follow from that and are held regardless of commercial consequence. No editorial page recommends any practitioner. And no page changes its clinical position to suit a commercial interest, which is why substantial parts of this site tell readers that surgery is not what they need.
05How the content is written
Content is written against published professional guidance and general surgical literature, and is deliberately conservative where the literature is unsettled. Where reported figures vary widely between studies and case series, which is true of most facelift complication rates, we say so rather than selecting a number that sounds authoritative. Our editorial policy sets out the standards in full, including how corrections are handled.
British English is used throughout, prices are given as UK ranges for 2026 rather than as quotations, and every clinical claim is written to be true of the category rather than of any particular practice.
06Who this is for
It is written for someone considering facelift surgery in the UK who wants to understand the decision rather than be guided towards a conclusion. That includes people who will go on to have surgery, people who will decide against it, and the substantial group who will discover that what they actually wanted was something else entirely.
